|  | | Turn off lengthy voicemail instructions
Here's how to turn off the extra instructions for pressing 0 to talk to an operator or send a
fax that are played after your voice mail greeting:
- Login to http://go4msg.umn.edu using your phone extension
xxxxx@um.umn.edu and your password (Note: This is not your X.500
password. If you haven’t used your voicemail account online, the
initial password is your 5-digit phone number, plus an exclamation
point. If you enter the wrong password three times in a row, you will
be locked out of the system. Call 1-HELP to have your Web password for
the Gopher Messaging System reset.)
- Select the "Options" link in the left hand navigation.
- Click on the "Voice Mail" link under "Message Management."
- Click on the "Messages" link and switch to edit mode.
- Deselect "Play other system options after playing your greeting to
the callers," and then press Update.
