Student invitations have begun University OIT has begun to send Google invitations to the freshman class, and expects all freshman invitations to be completed by November 6, 2009. This phased roll out will progress through all classes, and is expected to be finished by the end of December. Faculty and staff invitations will follow after further testing University OIT expects to begin inviting staff and faculty from collegiate and administrative units near the beginning of December. CFANS OIT Strategy for Google CFANS-OIT is currently evaluating the Google Apps suite, but may ask that Central OIT not send invitations to CFANS staff and faculty until the new University calendar solution is unveiled in the coming months. We would like to do a phased roll out of Google Apps to provide the best possible support for the CFANS faculty and staff during the transition. For the latest updates on the project,
visit the Google Initiative Web site, or send e-mail to gpilot@umn.edu. If you have questions about CFANS OIT's strategy for Google, please send them to cfans.help@umn.edu.
