CFANS OIT Blog
Many corporations today use blogs and RSS feeds to stay in quick contact with their customers. In this same spirit, CFANS OIT brings you the CFANS OIT Blog, a new way to deliver important announcements about CFANS OIT services, such as alerts of viruses and other threats, outages and maintenance, and the deployment of software through our CFANS OIT SCCM Environment.
You can visit the blog page at any time or subscribe to the RSS feed and have each message appear in Firefox's RSS reader as it is posted. The blog is arranged with the most current post at the top of the page. You can scroll through the list or use the links on the right to view specific posts or categories of postings. When subscribing to the RSS feeds, you may choose to receive all postings or only certain categories, such as Sofware Deployments.

Categories
- Software Deployment
These posts contain information about software updates and patches being sent to CFANS computers using SCCM; they will include links to in-depth information where possible.
- CFANS IT Alerts
These blog posts are the same messages as you receive through e-mail as CFANS-IT-Alerts. They contain time-sensitive information relevant to a significant number of College faculty and staff.
- Outages/Maintenance
These posts alert users to unplanned outages and scheduled maintenance of University and CFANS IT services. Some may also be categorized as IT Alerts.
What's Needed
- An Internet browser for the PC or the Macintosh.
